Dominostenen van Sachter Torte

In de keuken

Voor de tweede verjaardag van Lola en Robin wilde ik geen simpel taartje voorschotelen, verjaardagen blijven immers een bijzondere aangelegenheid. Omdat een taart zo weg is (en dan bedoel ik niet eens opgegeten) en we er in ons geval nog 2 nodig hadden ook, wilde ik ook geen hele dure taarten.

Zoals ik al eerder vertelde (hier), ben ik nou eenmaal geen keukenprinses. Dus wat doe je dan om de kids toch een leuk taartje te geven waarvan ze de kaarsjes uit kunnen blazen? Precies! Ik heb dominostenen van de Sacher Torte van dr. Oetker gemaakt. Simpel, niet duur, lekker en, al zeg ik het zelf, erg leuk!

 

Wat hebben we nodig:

  • Dr. Oetker Sacher Torte
  • 3 eieren
  • 150 gram boter
  • 75 ml water
  • schrijfstiften
  • kleine snoepjes

Doe grotendeels gewoon wat er op het pak staat en dan ben je al een heel eind. In plaats van een ronde bakvorm heb ik een vierkante (brownie)bakvorm gebruikt. Het abrikozenjamverhaal heb ik overgeslagen, te veel gedoe als je nog zoveel andere dingen te regelen hebt voor een verjaardagsfeestje. Als de taart afgekoeld is snij je het in “stenen” en glazuur je ze steen voor steen. Lijkt veel werk maar valt echt reuze mee. Daarna maak je met een schrijfstift (ik heb ze van Dr. Oetker gebruikt) de randjes van de stenen wit en deel je met een andere kleur de steen in tweeën. Met gekleurde snoepjes zet je vervolgens de “ogen” op de dominostenen. De stenen die over waren heb ik laten versieren door de grote (3,5) broer van de tweeling; taartjes voor de visite die gegarandeerd in de smaak vallen! Om de boel op te leuken heb ik de taartjes van Lewis op een vrolijke Winnie de Pooh etagère (Action) gelegd en twee snijplankjes ingepakt met een vrolijk pakpapiertje en daar de 2 op gelegd.

Voor het moment suprême even de kaarsjes erin steken, aansteken en zingen maar!
